„Kung<\/span> Fu“<\/span> is<\/span> an<\/span> old<\/span> Chinese<\/span> term<\/span> that<\/span> only<\/span> became<\/span> established<\/span> as<\/span> a<\/span> generic<\/span> term<\/span> for<\/span> Chinese<\/span> martial<\/span> arts<\/span> from<\/span> about<\/span> the<\/span> 1960s.<\/span> Kung<\/span> Fu<\/span> (or<\/span> „Gong<\/span> Fu“)<\/span> is<\/span> usually<\/span> translated<\/span> as<\/span> „hard<\/span> work“.<\/span> Gongfu<\/span> originally<\/span> referred<\/span> not<\/span> only<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> martial arts<\/span> but<\/span> also<\/span> to<\/span> other<\/span> areas<\/span> and<\/span> ultimately<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> whole<\/span> of<\/span> life,<\/span> referring<\/span> to<\/span> virtually<\/span> every<\/span> „skill<\/span> that<\/span> comes<\/span> about<\/span> through<\/span> hard<\/span> work<\/span> over<\/span> a<\/span> long<\/span> period<\/span> of<\/span> time“<\/span> \u2013<\/span> all<\/span> aspects<\/span> of<\/span> human<\/span> life<\/span> require<\/span> hard<\/span> work<\/span> and<\/span> time.<\/span> This<\/span> is<\/span> what<\/span> „Kung<\/span> Fu“<\/span> actually<\/span> means.<\/span> In<\/span> order<\/span> to<\/span> obtain<\/span> „Kung<\/span> Fu“<\/span> in<\/span> the<\/span> Chinese<\/span> martial<\/span> arts,<\/span> regular<\/span> training<\/span> over<\/span> a<\/span> long<\/span> period<\/span> of<\/span> time<\/span> is<\/span> necessary.<\/span> And<\/span> this<\/span> is<\/span> best<\/span> structured,<\/span> systematic<\/span> (uplifting)<\/span> and<\/span> „with<\/span> content“,<\/span> i.e.<\/span> not<\/span> just<\/span> stupid<\/span> repetition<\/span> „without<\/span> spirit“.<\/span> „Gongfu“<\/span> then<\/span> comes<\/span> practically<\/span> automatically<\/span> –<\/span> but<\/span> only<\/span> if<\/span> you<\/span> train<\/span> „correctly“<\/span> as<\/span> described<\/span> above.<\/span> You<\/span> can<\/span> also<\/span> train<\/span> „wrongly“<\/span> for<\/span> decades<\/span> without<\/span> „Gongfu“<\/span> setting<\/span> in<\/span> „automatically“.<\/span> And<\/span> in<\/span> a<\/span> certain<\/span> sense,<\/span> the<\/span> training<\/span> never<\/span> stops<\/span> –<\/span> even<\/span> if<\/span> you<\/span> have<\/span> reached<\/span> „Gongfu“,<\/span> although<\/span> you<\/span> can<\/span> refine<\/span> it<\/span> anyway<\/span> until<\/span> the<\/span> end<\/span> of life.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
